Open Houses Planned for Environmentally Sensitive Lands Text Amendment - Treatment of Fire Defensible Space

i

Two open houses are planned for the public to learn more and provide comments on the city's proposed ESL and Fire Code text amendment changes regarding the treatment of fire defensible space within the Environmentally Sensitive Lands (ESL) Overlay areas of the city.

The purpose of the text amendment is to review the ESL Ordinance and the Fire Code to modify relevant sections and establish a fire-defensible space that is adapted to more recent environmental changes and to address key issues identified in the existing ordinance.
